Walker Healthforce is seeking a Senior Training Strategy and Content Development with 5+ years’ experience to support a healthcare client based. This is a 7-month contract opportunity.
START DATE: ASAP
HOURS/SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday, 40 hours
WORKER TYPE: W2
CORE REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years of experience in training design, instructional design, or change management in a healthcare setting
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Communications, Healthcare, or a related field
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Foundation-level or above proficiency in Training Design and Change Management methodologies
- Demonstrated experience developing training content for clinical or operational audiences in a large organization
- Familiarity with adult learning principles and instructional design frameworks
- Strong written communication, facilitation, and project management skills
WE CONSIDER IT A BONUS IF YOU ALSO HAVE:
- Epic training module experience or certification (e.g., Epic Training Environment build)
- Prosci, ATD, or equivalent change management or instructional design certification
- Experience managing training programs for EHR implementations or large-scale clinical transformations
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead the Training Strategy and Content Development workstream, managing all training design and delivery planning
- Design a comprehensive training strategy aligned with program goals, clinical workflows, and end-user needs across multiple departments
- Develop training curricula, eLearning modules, quick reference guides, and job aids for clinical and operational audiences
- Coordinate with Epic build and workflow teams to ensure training materials reflect current system configuration
- Facilitate train-the-trainer sessions and support at-the-elbow readiness activities during go-live
- Apply change management frameworks (e.g., Prosci ADKAR) to assess readiness, identify resistance, and drive adoption
- Track training completion, measure effectiveness, and report on adoption metrics to program leadership
